Located in a major oil-producing area of Southern California, Torrance originally was dotted with thousands of oil wells and oil derricks, but today they are not as common as they were in the by gone days, however, the ExxonMobil refinery, located at the north end of Torrance, still remains mostly responsible for the majority of Southern California’s current gasoline supply
