Tinnitus is common in most of the people, but still the causes of tinnitus remain still unidentified in many patients. People who find out the reasons for tinnitus are easy to cure as they can get rid of hidden problem. Common causes of tinnitus include damage to the inner ear, prolonged exposure to loud noises, ear wax buildup, age related ear changes, or changes in the stricture of the ear bones.

A common cause of tinnitus is inner ear cell damage or damage to the find cochlear hairs that conduct sound to the ear drums. Trigger the release of an electrical signal through the auditory nerve to your brain where it is interpreted as a sound and these delicate hairs located along the inner ear canal are moved by sound waves. When the tiny cochlear hairs in your inner ear sustain damage they can transmit faulty signals to your brain, resulting in tinnitus.

The tinnitus is a type of hearing loss which is caused by age-related. A decrease in hearing as they age,many people experience. This hearing loss can lead to tinnitus as the nerves in the inner ear weaken.

Having listened to loud noises over a long period of time is a leading cause of deafness and also of tinnitus. Ear is damaged by the loud machinery, gun shots, motor explosions, and sometime due to the sounds of iPods. Long term exposure can lead to permanent damage and tinnitus,but short term exposure can cause tinnitus that goes away as the ear heals.

Earwax buildup is a frequent cause of hearing loss, and the pressure of wax buildup on the sensitive nerves in your inner ear can result in tinnitus. This is one cause of tinnitus that is easily remedied by removing the excess wax.

Difficulty caused by the stiffening of the ear bones in the middle ear is known as otosclerosis. It is inherited and may result in growth of extra bone in the ear and may generate hearing loss and tinnitus.

While these are the most common know causes of tinnitus, some people never determine the sources of their problem. Some doctors think that stress, head and neck injuries, brain tumors, and high blood pressure can also cause or contribute to tinnitus. Meniere’s disease is seldom found and is an inner ear disturbance which may produce tinnitus.

Tinnitus can be very aggravating and drive you crazy. It never seems to go away and is constantly there. Some people just learn to deal with it. And others seem to try every thing to get rid of it.
