The Mario Lopez Workout
Mario Lopez workout has been the subject of much debate. The actor, who has consistently maintained a lean and muscular body similar to the physique of Mark Wahlberg, most recently displayed his toned physique in Dancing with the Stars.
Mario Uses Boxing To Keep Fit
Mario Lopez boxes all the time and this way he stays very lean. He would often fight with amateur fighters trying to make it in boxing. Mario says he already went against Shane Mosley, Oscar De La Hoya and James Toney. Lopez wrote a workout book called, Mario Lopez Knockout Fitness, obviously inspired by his boxing hobby. In the workout book Mario admits that to be really fit we need to train hard. Not everybody is in top shape because not everybody is willing to do the work.
Mario Lopez Workout Plan
Lopez changes his workouts all the time. Right now he just maintains the size of his biceps and pecs. Currently his main goal is to burn off fat and stay lean while just preserving his muscle mass. Now, if we are to build a body like Mario, we need a structured muscle gaining strategy which targets achieving a screen-worthy body: the wide shoulders and trim waist of a leading man. Unlike most folks, Lopez has the genes for it. His advantage: an athletic frame with big shoulders and small hips. He also has relatively short upper arms (he is 175 lbs and 510) so it is easy for him to build impressive looking arms.I bet he could use handstand push-ups in his routine.
What is the Diet that Mario Follows?
Mario Lopez published another non-fiction book, called Extra Lean. This is his first cookbook. The actor acknowledges the importance of diet when trying to achieve or maintain top shape. We could lose weight by focusing only on training, but this is the harder approach. In the cookbook Mario wrote 40 plus recipes and 1200 to 1300 calorie meal plans consisting mainly of veggies and lean meat cuts. This is a solid diet approach – the reason being that we dramatically over estimate how little we can eat if we are to lose body fat. Now, Mario Lopez likes his food. In order to maintain a low body fat percentage we need to eat a very low calorie diet. Or, we can train a lot like Mario does.
Beach Life
Whether he realizes it or not, he has struck gold by working out outdoors and spending time in the sun. Its a feedback loop as he walks and jogs shirtless all the time: this must force him to stay in shape. Or vice versa – he trains hard and likes to walk around shirtless to show off the hard work. The guy enjoys sprinting outdoors which boosts the metabolisms and keeps you lean. Working out at the beach like Mario sure is fun. Well it wouldn’t hurt to be accompanied by a hot girl like the one Lopez is dating. Also, the natural vitamin D that is produced by the sun is responsible for our overall health. It is a mistake to avoid the sun altogether.
The Fit Life of Mario Lopez
In his own words, Mario is addicted to exercising. Hes been consistently in top shape ever since he starred in the TV show Saved by the Bell as a teenager. Keeping fit and lean has preserved his youthful looks. Many of us lose our good looks by gaining fat as early as the 20s – it doesn’t have to be that way.Mario Lopez switches things around to avoid staleness. So he boxes and pushes weights but also bikes, swims, runs, plays basketball and does yoga. This level of physical activity burns a ton of calories. So the Mario Lopez workout enables him to maintain a very lean body. For more celebrity fitness take a look at the Sylvester Stallone Expendables Workout.
