Started swimming, still hurt my back…

There’s impact exercising, low impact, and finally no impact. That’s how I found myself beginning a swimming program. I had been running quite a bit, which lead me to often visit a maryland chiropractor.

The chiropractic doctor was a good one, really focused on sports type treatment. I had been to see an alton chiropractor and he was really good too, but he just didn’t focus on running stuff. More of a family, health and wellness kind of doc.

After deciding that running wasn’t going to be for me, I decided that it would be better to consider cycling. After buying a bunch of funny looking outfits and, of course, a bike, I was ready to go. I even spent the extra money for a helmet that looked like I was from the future.

After cycling for a dozen weeks, my back was hurting again. I decided to visit a litchfield chiropractor that recommended that I consider swimming. Swimming is no impact, right?

It is, but it’s still work. It still requires energy and effort. It requires that I exert myself, and sometimes that’s still barely enough to get me across the pool. I’m beginning to think that just being active leads to low back pain.

Seeing a chirpractor is just going to be a part of my life. I’m not going to stop being active, I’m just going to learn how to maximize my health to keep my momentum going and figure out how to continue to exercise is some form or fashion.

With my current path of running, cycling and now swimming… maybe I should consider triathlons?
