So Many David Macklins Out There!

Submitted by on Wednesday February 1, 2012 No Comments

There are plenty of reasons to like David Macklin, that’s for sure. Who wouldn’t like a great guy that established a foundation? I know a lot of NFL player establish foundations when they hit the big time, but he’s definitely into his.

Turns out there are a lot of famous people named David Macklin. The NFL guy is just one. There’s a doctor, an actor, and just everyday people named the same thing.

David Macklin the actor has apparently done a lot of stuff. You can see all of his stuff if you just do a web search for his name.

So how should you react when someone has the same name as you, but is totally different? I mean the actor is definitely wanting to build his brand and be known for that. The football player has a completely different set of concerns.

What if someone with your same name goes and gets into trouble with the law? Should you even be concerned when your name is mentioned online and it isn’t you they’re talking about? It can be easy for someone to get confused.

Lots of single women in particular have begun doing web searches before they go out with someone. It’s like an instant “background check.” Having nothing about yourself online is almost more suspicous than having something bad.

Why isn’t there anything about this person? Is that even their real name? These are the types of crazy thoughts that can start to run wild in your brain when you don’t have any information to go on.

My suggestion? Fill out some profiles about yourself online. Go to all of the major social networks and at least make sure your name exists. It may mean all the difference in someone trusting you and not trusting you.
