You hear a lot about consumer debt in the media these days. Due to the recent economic conditions more people than ever before have been forced to use credit card for expenses that are normally paid for in cash. Not only does debt leave you owing money, but has affects on other areas of your life. More financial and health experts are begin to equate increase debt with weight gain.
These are both conditions that take some effort to eliminate. They are not something that happened in one day and they will take time to resolve. But there is no reason why you have to let your debt or your weight increase any further. Many people will find that they cannot meet their expenses that exist as result of their current lifestyle. At some point in time, the credit cards will reach their limits and then you will be stuck still trying to pay for your current expenses and have a credit card payment for things that are most likely long gone. The biggest problem that most people have is adjusting their spending when their income decreases. The longer it takes you to adjust your spending the more debt you are likely incur.
The bottom line is if you cannot pay it off at the end of the month, you should not be putting it on a charge card. Having debt will cause undue stress in your life not to mention the interest you will be paying to carry a balance on your credit cards. Credit cards are here to stay and it is important that they are managed wisely.
