How to Lose Body Fat and Gain Muscle With Your Diet
In this article we will discuss how to lose body fat without spending hours exercising at home or at the health club. A lot of folks in the media want you to think that the only way you can lose body fat is to commit to a rigorous workout program. I am guessing that this is a good way to sell gym memberships, but I’d rather tell you the truth.
What I Learned about How to Lose Body Fat in 2003
In 2003 I experienced a back injury that left me almost completely unable to walk or move. This was the first time in 15 years that I was unable to workout. No injury happens conveniently, but this one was really poorly timed. I was all set to take a week’s vacation in Mexico with several other friends. We were going to rent a gorgeous villa right on the beach at one of the Gulf of Mexico’s hottest resorts. I only had 5 months to try and get myself in shape and ready for the trip.
Since I Couldn’t Workout, I Dieted Hard
I had about 10 pounds of fat to lose, but couldn’t lose this body fat through any exercise whatsoever. So I had to look to my diet. I had to count calories and watch what I ate. I didn’t really think it would work, but I was willing to try anything. In the past I lived on the treadmill leading up to a vacation or for summer. I am great at getting lean through cardio and have never done this with diet alone.
How to Lose Body Fat in Three Months-Drop Down to 8% with Diet Alone
Losing body fat is one thing, but losing body fat when you are already pretty lean is tricky. So you can imagine how tough this might be using diet all by itself. Let’ me tell you my secret on how to lose body fat through diet alone. Every morning I started with a protein shake, had one for lunch and then a full dinner in the evening. I would choose lean protein like chicken to top my salad and use only low-fat rice vinegar dressing.I It may sound bland – and it was – but it gave results. I allowed myself a Fuji Apple for desert if I was still hungry, but not every single night.
How To lose Body Fat Through Calorie Counting, Not Exercise
Learning how to create a huge calorie deficit through controlling my diet was perhaps the best lesson I learned through this entire experience. Most of us are told we are allowed 2,000 calories a day. If you only eat 1,200, you have 800 calories cut, which starts melting the body fat. It takes hours to burn 800 calories a day through exercise. Now keep in mind, everyone is different, and so you don’t need to use such an extreme diet in order to start losing body fat. Cutting any number of calories regularly can help.
Obviously Exercise Will Help When Maintaining Muscle
The only downside of using diet alone to lose body fat is that you won’t maintain all of your muscle mass. You won’t lose a lot, but you will lose a little, if you are unable to do even basic exercise or training while you are on this diet. So the above is an extreme example of how to lose body fat without exercising.
