Breast Enhancement – Surgery Or Non Surgical?

Submitted by on Wednesday April 20, 2011 No Comments

There’s such a great deal of enhancement and “beautifying” going on in today’s world that it’s often difficult to know if a person is actually naturally that way or if they have redesigned themselves. A significant component associated with this self-improvement trend is breast enhancement. There are two alternatives for this: surgical and non surgical breast enhancement.

There are some disadvantages in both surgical and non surgical breast enhancement.

Surgery remains surgery and breast enhancer requires a range of operations to accomplish. This means that you’re increasing the risk of bleeding, infection and reactions with the anaesthetic. Firstly you have to make room beneath the skin of the breast for the implant. This is done through the implanting of an expansion implant. This device features a port in it which the doctor uses to insert a saline solution to force the skin to stretch enough to allow for the implant. This can be a very painful process as the skin of the breast is extremely sensitive.

Next the implant has to be inserted. This again requires general anaesthesia and again raises the risk of infection. Additionally, you will need to replace the implants every couple of years because they to be affected by deterioration and have a tendency to leak just a little which makes them decline in volume.

So surgical breast enhancement is risky due to the repeated surgical procedures required to give the implant enough space and to replace it every few years.

Then there are the number of non surgical breast enhancement techniques. These also have risks, though not quite as severe as the operative option. They’re, however, not as long lasting as the surgical option.

There are hormone stimulating pills which stimulate the breast growth hormone after puberty has passed. This does not work for everyone though and requires messing with all the body’s natural hormonal levels.

Then there is massage procedures. The danger here is that if the massage is carried out incorrectly damage may be caused to the delicate breast tissues.

There are suction pumps. Again, this may damage the sensitive tissues within the breasts if done for too long or way too hard.

You can also use underwear for a non surgical breast enhancement strategy. There are no health risks here, but there is the trouble that when the underwear is removed, the seemingly abundant breasts are gone.

And there is exercise. This does not actually enhance the breast per se, but rather improves the muscles below the breast, the pectoral muscles, which then provides the appearance of increased breast size.

So, the question is: surgical procedures or not? The choice is perfectly up to you. Just be sure to do adequate research on all your options. Many of these techniques cost money and none of them are permanent. Breast implants must be replaced, hormones is only able to last for so long and the growth isn’t permanent, massage and suction only last for a little while and the growth is primarily due to swelling and muscle mass decreases if the exercise stops.
